Frog Mallet - Consumed By Frogs vinyl
The amphibians have united with the gorillas for a third instance of frog death.
The New England amphibian slammers Frog Mallet have made their gracious return with their brand new second full length album! Shattering through the “sophomore slump” cliche, Consumed by Frogs shows how much the band has progressed in their musicianship. It’s been four years since their self titled EP, and five years since Dissection by Amphibian, and the band wants to prove to you how much they’ve improved. Frog Mallet has shown that with the two previously released album singles SNACK TIME and Boiled in a Pot. In those tracks, and the whole album, we’ve got some pummeling riffs sprinkled throughout. And not just that, there’s some elements of sludge and hardcore buried in here. Consumed by Frogs is not just a slam record! If you enjoy heavier music, there is something for you to enjoy here.
While there is a great deal of growth and experimentation, it’s still the same Frog Mallet we have all grown to know and love. Packed to the brim with pig squeals, samples, and uproarious batrachian puns, our froggy friends did not go anywhere. We got hit song titles such as Krungus Wungus the Humungous, EAT BUG, and BFBD2, plus the band does a wonderful job making it sound like you’re one with the frogs in the jungle. Consumed by Frogs, at times, makes you feel like you’ve been consumed by frogs in the best way possible. It’s equal parts hilarious and musically outstanding. If you’re already into Frog Mallet, get ready to hear your new favorite release from them. If you’re into heavier music and want to try something new, dive in head first. You’ll certainly find something fun within here. And after you’re done listening, buy a copy on vinyl through us! Buy one of the lucrative handmades, one of the stunningly grotesque alt covers, or both before they’re gone!
