SGR-061 is none other than Minnesota metalcore up and comers Waste with their unrelenting new EP The Weight of Everything! Waste have been making a name for themselves over the last 6 years with their unique blend of downtempo, deathcore, and hardcore. While they had a steady rise, the release of their double EP In Bloom & In Decay, and Ponderous (the bombastic collaboration track between the band, Deadlocked, and Wretched Tongues) had the band reach a whole new audience. After the heavy anticipation, the band released the track Eyes Up alongside the announcement of the EP. This introduction to the bands new sound shows them mix groove and intensity to show they were back and better than ever.

And if you thought that’s where it ended, the rest of the EP hits just as hard. Without spoiling too much before the EPs full release on the 24th, tracks like Twelve (featuring Kyle Medina from SGR alumni and Florida metalcore legends Bodysnatcher) and Concrete Casket shows the band kicking it into high gear, leaving listeners on high energy throughout the entire EP. The Weight of Everything is showing that Waste has something to prove.
