Get Me The Knife - Serrated Liberation

You may have seen the rumblings, but the time has finally come. SGR-058 is none other than San Antonio newcomers Get Me The Knife! Their debut EP Serrated Liberation came out earlier this month and immediately made waves within the deathcore scene. If you’re familiar with Get Me The Knife, you already know you’re in for an absolute treat. Massively improving on their already colossal promo Your Demise, Serrated Liberation is filled to the brim with thrashing breakdowns, walloping vocals from Joseph Tovar, and an absolutely stellar, punchy production. We even got band name callout/breakdowns sprinkled throughout!

Any fans of the current wave of the deathcore revival will be remiss to find something you don’t like about this relentless EP. You will be two-stepping to a song like Final Punishment before you get demolished by the breakdown in the outro track. This is a punishing listen in the best way, and we love every minute of it. And with the band playing shows with their contemporaries in Katywentmissing and Destroy! All Humans, and a premiere through the Brutality Podcast, there’s no doubt you will be seeing more of this band in the future. Get ready to hear Get Me The Knife be said in the same breath as Rev3rent and Mauled very soon. This disc is chock-full of content to enjoy, so get ready to dig in and find everything!
